In-Lieu MOU
This year, we will once again allow for teachers to In-Lieu during both of their preparation periods and allow for payouts in December and June at a rate of $55 per In-Lieu period. I have attached the new MOU for the 2023-2024 school year. In addition to the MOU, we have agreed to also allow part time teachers to In-Lieu. If you have further questions, please read my Post from September 2021.
Get Safety Trained
Be sure to complete your mandated trainings. Please refer to the emails from the District dated July 3 and August 4.
New Teachers
If you are a new teacher to the SMJUHSD, please take a look at our SMJUHSDFA website and let me know if you have any questions. There is a lot of good information, including your very important Weingarten Rights.
September Paycheck
Your September paycheck should include payment for working the extra professional development day in August. This year, that day will take place today, Monday August 7, during our teacher workday. Please keep in mind that this is not a permanent increase to the salary schedule, but it is a payment of your daily rate of pay for working the one extra Professional Development Day. We will also work an additional Professional Development Day in January and should receive that payment in our January 2024 paycheck.
I have attached/linked a few files for your information.
