On February 9th, four of our teachers will be attending the LCAP Steering Committee meeting. Please print out and complete the attached survey, then put it one of the teachers boxes listed on the survey. Or, edit the digital document and return it to me via email. If you can have it completed by Friday that would be great, otherwise Monday morning would be fine. I have also attached the 2016-2017 LCAP summary from the District’s website.
The Negotiating Team met last week to get started on the upcoming negotiations. They are currently working with the District Office to find a date to begin this process. One Article may be reopened by both the Faculty Association and the District. Compensation will also be negotiated for the 2017-2018 school year. Sometime in the next month you should receive a survey asking for your input regarding negotiations.
Some members have asked about who they should contact until the Bylaws are approved and we can elect Site Representatives. If you have a question or a concern, please contact a member of the Negotiating team or a member of the Executive Board.

Some of you have noticed a problem with sending emails to some teachers. Emails are randomly changing to .net and coming back as not delivered. Additionally, staff members who have changed sites are not receiving all of their email. Please keep in mind that the default email in our district is @smjuhsd.org. This should always work even if a teacher transfers to another site.
Andrew Oman has finished visiting all four sites to discuss the PERB hearing regarding the “Split Payroll”.
