As we approach the end of school, I would like to start by saying what an awesome job you have all done for the past 12 weeks. We have been put in an unbelievable situation, we met it head on and we are almost at the end of the semester.
I have a few reminders:
Grades are due on Monday, June 8th. As for the time, I have heard 3:00 PM and I have heard midnight. If you have questions about the District’s grading policy, please see the attached files originally sent from John Davis. If you still have questions, please reach out to your Site Administration.
This Friday, June 5th is our last official workday of the 2019-2020 school year. It is also Graduation Day for our Seniors. What crazy memories they will have of their Senior year. As in previous years, the District would like all certificated staff to be present at the Drive thru Graduations. All sites are taking necessary precautions and everyone will be wearing masks, following social distancing protocols, etc.
Thank you to everyone who ran for a position in our recent FA election. And thank you to the many of you who accepted write-in votes to fill vacancies.
Jose Pereyra worked hard and was able to fill all but two of the positions.
As you may know, the District is in the process of making approximately $8 million in budget cuts for the 2020-2021 school year. We will know more when they present their budget cut proposal at the June 16th Board meeting.
While you are having a restful summer, please continue to check your school email. We currently have no information as to how the fall will look as things are constantly changing. It is very likely that we will need to communicate information to you over the summer and we are considering sending out a survey that will take place using Simply Voting.
We missed our FA Social scheduled for May 29th. We will schedule another one soon.
Have a great summer. You deserve it.
