Yesterday, our negotiating team met with the District in an effort to agree on an MOU for the reopening of school. Although a number of items were agreed to, we are still not in complete agreement with the MOU. Negotiations will continue next week. We will continue to ask the District to allow us to choose between working from home or on campus.
In these final days before school starts, we would like to conduct a short survey to help us finalize the MOU for reopening school. The Survey will be sent to your Simply Voting email. It will start on Saturday morning at 7:00 AM and end on Monday evening at 6:00 PM. Please read the directions on the survey before answering the questions.
If you have started the Interactive Process with Kevin Platt, please be patient and continue to communicate with him. A number of you have asked for accommodations and we would like to see those accommodations approved. Many of you have asked about Union representation during Zoom meetings regarding accommodations. If you feel you would like a Union representative present, please contract Andrew Oman as he is trained in this type of support. AOman@cta.org
It is my understanding that the District has asked Site Administration to allow us to post, “Do Not Enter” signs on our classroom doors or work stations. If you have questions, please communicate with your Site Administration.
